Please read the following guidelines carefully before submitting your extended abstract. Extended abstracts may be submitted by email to [email protected] or through the online submission form: https://formlar.aydin.edu.tr/iecesform/
GENERAL RULES
Researchers may participate in the conference by delivering an oral presentation, presenting a poster, or attending as listeners without submitting a paper.
Authors applying for an oral presentation must submit an extended abstract of three to four pages, followed by a reference list.
The extended abstract must include an abstract section of approximately 350–400 words that clearly introduces the research topic, purpose and objectives.
Extended abstracts should be structured under the following headings:
Abstract
Introduction
Methodology
Findings and Discussion
Conclusions and Recommendations
References
The introduction should provide an overview of the research topic and clearly explain the significance and contribution of the study to the relevant literature.
The methodology section should clearly describe the research design, study population, sample or participant group, data-collection methods, and analytical approach.
The findings should be presented clearly and discussed in relation to the relevant literature.
The conclusions should summarize the principal outcomes of the study and, where appropriate, provide recommendations for future research or practice.
References should be formatted in accordance with the APA Publication Manual, 7th edition.
Extended abstracts must include the full names, institutional affiliations and contact information of all authors. The corresponding author must also be clearly identified.
Submissions must be original, make a meaningful contribution to the relevant field and must not have been published previously or be under consideration for publication elsewhere.
Extended abstracts will initially be reviewed by the Organizing Committee for compliance with the formatting requirements and relevance to the scope of the conference. Eligible submissions will then be forwarded to members of the Scientific Committee for academic evaluation.
Authors will be informed of the acceptance or rejection of their submissions following the completion of the review process.
FORMATTING REQUIREMENTS
Page Length
The extended abstract should be three to four pages in length, excluding the reference list.
Page Layout
All page margins should be set to 2.5 cm.
Font and Spacing
The main text should be written in Times New Roman, 12-point font, with 1.5-line spacing and justified alignment.
Title
The title should be written in Times New Roman, 14-point font. It should be bold, centred, and written in capital letters.
Author Names
The full names of all authors should be written in Times New Roman, 12-point font and centred below the title.
Author Affiliations
Institutional affiliations should be written in Times New Roman, 12-point font and centred below the authors’ names.
Corresponding Author
The corresponding author should be identified with a footnote that includes their email address.
CONTENT REQUIREMENTS
The extended abstract should clearly present the purpose, significance and academic contribution of the study. It should provide readers with a clear understanding of the research problem, the questions addressed by the study and the reasons why the research is relevant.
The methodology section should explain the research design, study population, sample or participant group, data-collection methods, analytical procedures and the reasons for selecting the relevant research tools.
The findings should be presented clearly and discussed in relation to the existing literature. Authors should explain significant similarities or differences between their results and those of previous studies.
For ongoing studies in which the data-collection or analysis process has not yet been completed, authors should present the expected findings and their potential implications. The current stage of the research must be stated clearly.
NOTE FOR ONGOING RESEARCH
Authors whose data-collection or analysis process has not yet been completed may include the following statement:
“The data-collection and analysis processes of this study are ongoing. The final results and discussion will be presented during the conference session.”
